Donna Holcomb, owner of HomeLife Access Realty in Virginia, is an experienced Realtor who not only  thoroughly understands the Virginia real estate market – from rural farms and farm land to residential to new construction in the city – … she has lived it!

Donna grew up on a Virginia farm, later joined the Army National Guard after graduating from high school, and then lived in different parts of the country as a military spouse.  After she remarried, she moved with her husband Roland – they have been married for almost 23 years – to where his job took him, first to Texas and then to Georgia before returning to Virginia. 

Buying homes, moving frequently, and living in different neighborhoods and environments throughout the country, she gained an appreciation for the intricacies of real estate.  Now back in her home state and residing in Smithfield, she attended the Alpha School of Real Estate in Newport News and got her Real Estate license in 2000.  She worked real estate in the Tidewater area until 2005, becoming an award-winning agent as well as mentoring new agents, eagerly passing along her knowledge and expertise to fellow Realtors.

Before becoming a Realtor, Donna had been a professional groomer, and she had worked with animals at veterinarian clinics and worked at the Humane Society of North Texas in Ft. Worth.  Having grown up on a farm, she has a great love for animals.  So it was particularly gratifying for her when she and her husband moved back to rural central Virginia in 2005.

Continuing to work as a Realtor, she now set her sights on owning her own brokerage to establish a real estate company whose agents appreciated and understood the heart of Virginia and its real estate markets.  Donna acquired her Broker's license in September of 2008 and opened HomeLife Access Realty in November of 2011.

In addition to running the HomeLife brokerage, Donna continues to serve as an agent.  Specializing in Central and Northern Virginia, Donna is a Accredited Buyers Rep (ABR), Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI), Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE), Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES), Seller Representative Specialist (SRS), and ePro; and she is currently completing her CRB (Certified Residential Broker).  She belongs to both the Central Virginia Regional MLS and to Bright MLS, which covers all of Northern Virginia.

Donna is a Realtor and Broker who is always seeking new and better ways to serve her clients as well as her agents.  For that reason, continuing to learn is important to her.  It keeps her current and makes her better equipped to help her clients and to have the best resources for all her HomeLife agents.

One of Donna's main goals is to help any agent who wants success to be successful.  She also believes in giving back to the community and serves on the board of Caroline County Habitat for Humanity.  Donna believes home ownership should be available to everyone who wants to work to own their own home, and she is proud to be a part of making the real estate goals of every Virginian a reality through HomeLife Access Realty.
